1101 South Wabash
USA Fire Protection provided the fire safety solutions to 1101 South Wabash, Chicago. This beautiful 30-story glass building contains the Hilton Homewood Suites as well as the Wabash Suites Hotel. The tinted blue and gray pattern gives the illusion of a glass curtain exterior. The building gains more visual interest and verticality due to the indented windows on the 8th and 30th story.
Within this high-rise, there are 196 short term Homewood Hilton hotel rooms and 85 extended stay Wabash Streets rooms. Additionally, this property includes 135 car parking spaces and 3,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. This project required a fire pump, multiple standpipes, wet and dry systems, and a variety of sprinkler head finishes. Our team of engineers and field members coordinated with the builder and other trade crews to complete the design and installation of this project.
